Bed Bath and Beyond has some really nice affordable stuff. So does Target. I would pick out some boxes or baskets with lids so that you can throw stuff into the baskets and "hide" it when not in use. Also get some food storage zipper bags in all sizes to put like items into. Example: hair things in one, make up in one, pens and pencils in one etc. Then you can throw the bags into storage containers and pull them out as needed and everything will be in one bag. Get some throws to add color and warmth to your room. Then use the throws as needed to "hide" a mess if someone drops by.

What are some cute ideas for my new apartment?
I'm going off to college this fall, and I'm living in a student housing type apartment. I'll be living with 3 other girls, but my own bedroom will be about 10x12. It already comes with a full size bed, armoire, desk, and nightstand. What are some themes and cute things I can do to decorate my room? Where would I find pictures of dorm-like examples?

HGTV always has great ideas and videos you can watch.
I like to decorate with fashion aswell as function in mind meaning that since your in school you can find ways that will be stylish aswell as helpful.
Throw some wall shelves and some memo boards in your place and it's a good way to display pics aswell as leave important notes that you might forget when walking out the door. If your thinking about color always go with the 60/30/10 rule..can't go wrong with that..and like i said HGTV.com you can dabble with 60/30/10 color schemes.
Check it out and good luck.!

How should I decorate this room?
Okay long story short, My best friend of all 20 years of my life has had a rough time lately. Her mom died a year ago (right after she graduated highschool) and her dog just died a week ago... She just found out her mom's house is being foreclosed for back taxes. Shes a student a prestigious NYC college and my mom (who is now her mom) wants to help her out by offering her our spare bedroom to move into (so she can still visit home on breaks). We live in a trailer though, and the spare bedroom is very small. She already has a single bed and dresser she will move in but, we want to suprise her by repainting the room and getting some new curtains and decorations. Shes an artsy girl and she is a pretty big hippie.... How should I decorate her room and still conform to my mom's ideas (neutrals boring)?
What color should we paint it, the carpet is beige?
What colors should we do the room?
What kind of bedding package should I purchase?

Paint it like a medium yellow, or a soft bright green, something that will cheer her up when she walks in. Maybe accent it with light brown furniture and plenty of artwork and flowers. Maybe a down comforter in white or brown.Walmart has really nice canvas type painted pictures for $10 and Linens and things (if you have one in your area) is going out of business and you can get everything really cheap! I did : )

Fun things to do with over 11 year olds?
Am making a summer list for me and my sisters. Am coming off to college and am going to very busy next year, so I want to have a last summer with them. I already thought of tie dying clothes, designing clothes, going shopping. They like girly girls but at the same time tough. We can't do anything out of control like re decorate their room or go rock climbing my mother would never alone it. Just fun creative ideas. That we can clean up quickly enough. Thank you
