Cute Girl Room Ideas Paint

Lizzie asks…

cute ideas for a teen girl's bedroom?

I'm trying to redo my room and my crazy dad won't let me do hardly anything. i have discovered that blue promotes peaceful sleep and i want to do my room with blue but i don't want it to be super overpowering. i'm not allowed to paint the walls, which is stupid, and my room is only 11ft by 11ft. ITS TINY. my bed is full size so i have like no room. plus, i don't have the time or energy or HANGARS to hang up my clothes so i sleep on like 1/3 of my bed and the other 2/3 is taken up with like all of my clothes. i'm about to go insane because i feel so closed in and also i feel like i look awful all the time because all my pants gap at the waist (big big butt stretches the waist line, any tips for that?) and i don't know how i'm supposed to store stuff. the skinniest boxes don't fit underneath my bed and my closet is about as big as a phone booth. please help!

My bedroom is 11ft by 9ft, my closet is small, narrow and under the stairs. I share the bedroom with my husband. It's small but it's not impossible to organize well.

Before moving into this charming but small home, I always had large closets to hang most of my clothes in. So I can understand your frustration, but you need to adjust. Your room is big enough for at least two dressers (we have 3 in ours). You need to start folding some of your shirts and jeans and putting them in the drawers. Roll them into a tube shape to lessen wrinkles. If they do wrinkle, you can throw them into the dryer with a damp towel for 10-20 minutes to get the wrinkles out before you get dressed. This is also a good time for you to learn how to iron. Any clothing that is seasonal can be stored in decorative boxes, either in a stack in the corner of your room, or the storage area of your home.

You can get bed risers for your bed to gain more space under your bed. Over-the-door shoe organizers are a cool way to show off your shoe collection. You can find these items at Targert, Kmart, Walmart and organization stores.

If your dad doesn't object to putting nails or tacks in the walls, you can get some decorative art posters to bring blue into your room. If he does object, you'll have to rely on accessories and fabric like rugs, pillows, lamps, memorabilia and nick-nacks to surround yourself with blue.

Be creative in finding solutions, you can be proud of yourself for taking the iniative to make a positive change in your environment!

Maybe a Caribbean blue with palm trees and an Ocean? I just recently painted my room like a Caribbean blue color and I LOVE it. It's so pretty and lively. I highly suggest it!

Buy some really nice photo frames, or plain ones and decorate them yourself with sequins. And then put pictures of your friends or pets in them. And buy posters of celebrities or movies and put them on your walls. And you could buy something like a windcharm to hang by your window. Or those cool pens that you can write on the window with. But ask your dad first!!
