How can i decorate my small room..?
I'm 15 years old and i wanna make my room look like a teenager's room. Right now it looks like a 5 year old sleeps in it. I share with my nine year old sister so my mom bought us butterfly curtains snoppy comforters and these really dorky colored dressers.
My room is pretty small so i need something to maybe make it look bigger and more mature. My parents refuse to buy me new furniture and they wont let me paint the walls.
I'm sorta girly, but pink isn't my favorite color! I'm into music, and reading magazines, and basic teenage girl things.
Anyway can anyone help me out here. Maybe even put up pictures of things i should use to decorate it???

Use a solid color duvet to cover your bedspread and add a pile of colorful pillows to your bed. Put up a bulletin board with pictures of you and your friends. Pick your own style of accessories. See if you can get your sister to help you keep the room clean and neat. Clutter makes a room feel smaller.

One of the best ways to ensure a relaxing transition to a good night's sleep is to have a bedroom setting that is calm and tranquil. If you have a bedroom that feels cluttered and chaotic, this atmosphere may interfere with a good night's sleep, according to sleep experts
Decide on the theme you want for you bedroom and be sure to pick relaxing colors that will not jangle your nerves as you try to fall asleep. Bright, primary colors such as bright yellow or red are probably not the ideal choices. However, if you love red or yellow, you may be able to work with a softened version, such as a deep maroon or butter yellow. The color should appeal to your sense of style, but at the same time be soft and relaxing, not bright and wake-you-up vibrant.
I personally like white and light blue. For other detail you can check my source site
If you have a hard time finding or deciding between decorating ideas, you might want to consider hiring a professional decorator to help you out. There will be a fee for this, but if you are having a hard time finding your style, it may be better in the long run because you won't be wasting time and money on decorating mistakes. Just tell the interior designers what kinds of things you like, what colors you prefer, and they will use their professional expertise to find the paint colors, wallpaper and fabrics to suit your needs and create the perfect bedroom for you.
I recommend you Nina who is very professional and famous in this regard.

How can I make my room look cool without spending any money?
I'm a teen girl, I'm 14 years old, and I'm in a rock band. My room is already decorated with a
-purple comforter
-book shelf
-french organizer board
-cream colored dresser
-lights
-white board
-black butterfly chair
-electric guitar
-accoustic guitar
-white and brown desk
-purple nightstand
-bookshelf
-tv
-laptop
-speakers
-CDs
-twilight posters (taken down, but can be put back up)
-furniture & items covered in duck tape
I want my room to have more of a rocker-style. I love the bands Muse, a7x, SOAD, The Misfits, & Blink-182. I want to get posters-where should I get them that sells them cheaply?
My bookshelf. What should I put on there besides books?
What should I write on my (small) white board? What should be up on my french board?
I want to hang something above my closet door, I had christmas lights, but is there anything else that I should use instead? Something like a feather boa, or garland thing I can make?
Thank you :)

For lights: get some cheap Chinese lanterns. They've always seemed cool
decorate your white board in bright colored markers...like write in big letters your favorite song lyrics
get several posters of your favorite bands...that has always been original. I get mine from FYE at a decent price if you have ever heard of that. Or a any music store.
I would totally remove the duck tape but thats just me ;)
if possible get more pillows on your bed
the guitars rock!

Tips on decorating a nursery?
My sister's due to have a baby girl on the 4/4 next year, and I've volunteered myself to decorate the room when I go visit in January and when she's due. Anyone got any tips on what to do? I don't want any 'branded' decorations (i.e. Winnie the Pooh), just I can't think of anything more than butterflies and teddy bears!
Any help would be much appreciated, as she will be my sisters first child :)
Thanks for all the ideas so far guys! And a quick note, it's not really a nursery. My sister still lives with my parents and she's splitting her room in half; the baby will be in the room with the mother. And the main reason we're decorating it it because the haven't gotten rid of all the drawing and stuff I did over them when I was living there, so it'd be nice for me personally to cover up my old artwork. The room at the moment, if I remember, is blue walls, so an underwater/modern theme sounds pretty nice!
Right, just because she's living with my parents, doesn't mean she's a single mum. There's a dad, and he's staying with her, and coming to visit every day he can. I'm not going to mention how old she is because that's why she's living at home still. But thank you to all of those who said congratulations :)

Do something not too baby. MANY parents hardly use a nursery the first 6 months or so because many babies sleep in mom & dad's room for a long time. It is easier for night feeds & everyone gets more sleep (generally). Even the AAP now recommends that babies before 6 months sleep in mom & dad's room to help prevent SIDS. So - if that is the case, the baby will likely not even use the room until 6 months or so & then before long they are toddlers & preschoolers. So I say go neutral. Things like stripes or polka dots are nice. Many cribs convert to toddler beds & the bedding all can transfer, so avoid bedding that is too babyish too. There are tons of cute things you can do that aren't too babyish. You can do a garden theme & even get a section of picket fence to place somewhere on the wall (can be used as a head board for a twin bed later) and put a few hooks on it that are low.. Little ones love to hang things & take them down & they are useful in the meantime. Then you can paint flowers on the wall, grass, some butterflies, bees & ladybugs. You can put little flower pots around to hold q-tips, cotton balls, etc. You can get child sized cute little hand tools too. My kids have darling ones that are full size to them & tiny to me. They would make great decorations before baby is old enough to make use of them. The one thing you don't want to do is waste money (babies cost enough as it is). Realistically a baby does NOT care about their room. They don't. So you do it for you, OR you work toward a theme an older child will still like (2,3 4, etc). So if you can choose decorations that are long lasting in theme OR if they can serve an additional purpose later, all the better. That is why I talked about flower pots. Those can easily be used AS flower pots later. Same with the tools. Another really cute thing you can do with a garden theme is paint a clothes line in it & then attach real string & clothes pins & hang doll clothes "on the line". You can also use doll clothes "On the line" to be the window dressing tops. She is too small when born for dollies, but she won't always be. My aunt did a fishing theme for her son's room & ti was darling, but even cuter she put an old wood screen door over his door. So she could swing it shut & latch it instead of a safety gate when he was in there to play. He could totally see out & talk to her (her office was on the landing), but have a safe place to play. The look was darling too. You could do that with a garden room too. If you didn't put it ON the door, it could be done for a closet door or just hung on the wall as a place you could display pictures of family & friends & eventually her own artwork. I had some old shutters I like that I hung on my boy's wall for art (we clip it on with clothe spins) but I can find old shutters all over here in antiques stores & such, those could be put on each side of a window just for decoration or like we do to display things. They also make great shelves when you put a few brackets under them. There are so many things you can do. What you need to do is pick a theme & then think of things to go around it. I literally just came up with all that gardening stuff as I was typing. I am SURE if you had a theme to work with you can find just as many ideas for ANY theme.
