okay so im 14 and i love pink and purple
i was wondering if you had a idea how to design my room like with the paint if u have websites or pics that would be awesome
also i dont want anything hard to do, like cuz my dad is doing it
also my room is only like 10 by 12 i think so it needs to kinda look spacious

Light pink walls, white trim. Use purple and pink and cream for highlights: bed coverings, pillows, throw rugs etc. Don't over do it on the purple.

Opposites, or compliments. Orange is the opposite. A Compliment is light blue. Red is a clash. Green is a clash. Black, gray or white are neutral. Certain combinations make you feel a certain way, depending on your personal choice- good or in discord. You can figure it out at a paint store with color chips you can view together and decideyour feelings about. It's going to be your room, so what makes you feel good there is more important than what I think.

How can I redecorate a room with bright purple carpet?

I'm a 14 year old girl, going to be a freshman. My room is all purple, and I want to make it a little more... mature?

I'm really into music, and I have three posters so far: Pearl Jam, Pink Floyd, The Beatles.

I want to paint my walls white. I have a dark purple comforter that has to stay.

Bottom line: need a more mature room, very little to work with.

Personally, I think purple is a great color for a bedroom. If it were my room (and I'm 51, very mature), I would paint the walls a soft purple, several shades lighter than the carpet. Make sure it's the same purple, though. I mean, some purples have a lot of blue in them, others tend to be red. If your carpet is blue/purple, make sure your walls are the same, just a lot lighter. But not TOO light, you do want some color. Then paint all your trim and your ceiling a very bright, crisp white. Add white pillows on the dark purple comforter and your curtains can be shades of purple and white.

If you really want to be mature, ditch the posters. Nothing says 'teenager!' like posters on the wall. On the other hand -- you ARE a teenager, so it's absolutely OK for you to have posters on your walls! To give them a more sophisticated look, you could have them framed. They do sell poster frames, I think you can get them in Wal Mart. White frames would look awesome.

What colour should I paint my room?? (teen girl)?

Okay, so I really need to paint my room.
Right now my room is purple with a lime green stripe near the ceiling and floor. I seriously can't sleep. It keeps me up and then when I finally fall asleep its 4am. I guess it's true, I never did like Barney! :P
Anyway, I need to paint it because it is getting ridiculous with how little sleep I am getting.
Well, I'm 13 years old. Purple used to be my favorite colour but now I kind of hate it.

Alright so, our townhouses are 30 years old and we aren't allowed to change the closet doors, so I have those sliding ones that are on the track-

I'm getting my uncle to take them out because they are a hassle and it makes it hard to get things out of my closet.

I want a bold bedroom. But I want a colour that would look nice. And will last me years instead of only 1 year (like the purple and green).
I don't have a favorite colour. I like them all except purple.
I cannot buy a whole bunch of cans of paint. I have a limit of $130. And that includes buying the plastic and paint brush and roller. So I'm not going to buy expensive paints, probably just Behr.
