Do you have simple but great looking storage and setting up ideas for a boy/girl play room?
I have done a huge search on Google but cant seem to find anything. I have a daughter (5) and a son(3) and we are setting up a playroom for both of them and when their friends are over. The problem is my daughter is very girly, into barbie, my little pony, dolls, princesses etc and my son well, he is a BOY...cars, trucks, buzz and woody, thomas...So how can I organise a play room that is simple and very practcle for both. I also want the room to be an art room and tv room for them...Kinda like a little sactuary they can do whatever in. I need simple CHEAP storage ideas.
Also...if anyone can dirct me to any sites I may have not found or even been looking in the wrong areas for, please direct me to them...THANKYOU to all who respond xoxo

Little girl tea party ideas???
I have two little girls who love to "dress up" in their princess dresses. I want to invite another little one over for a "just because" princess tea party. I'd like to decorate the room really fancy an create a princess type setting for the party, but I don't want to go broke buying too much stuff for this day. Any suggestions?

I would think a simple table set up with a table cloth, flowers, and dishes and such would be fine for a tea party. Streamers are nice too, and inexpensive. You could also buy inexpensive fabric to cover the chairs and tie it in place with ribbon.
The link I found below has a bunch of descriptions and ideas for tea parties.

Little Girl's FIRST birthday ideas...?
My daughter turns one in mid-October, which is 2 months away, but anyone with a child knows 2 months goes by like 2 hours. This is my only child, and I want the party to be fun and cute and all those things. Her mom (we are not together) wants Care Bears, but I dont. My daughter's room is mainly Princess stuff, but I'm not sure if I want to stick with that or go a different direction just for the party. Any ideas? Please, PLEASE, no stupid responses, this is my child's birthday and I don't need some ignorant teenager saying "Star Wars" or "Lingerie". Thanks.
WOW, i have to pick a best, but thanks to EVERYONE for such a great list of ideas and comments!!!

You are sweet to want to make a special birthday for your daughter. I still remember my girls' first birthdays quite well, and they're 9 & 11 now. Here's the best advice I can give you:
1. Remember that the first birthday is really more for you and the family than your daughter. She won't remember it later, but you'll have pictures to show her and the cumulation of things you do for her over the years will become a memory.
2. With that in mind, the theme is really not important. Her room might be princess and her mother might want Care Bears, but in the end she'll have her own ideas soon enough. The main thing is to make it FUN for her. Blow bubbles (sure to cause giggles), sing familiar songs (or play familiar CD's), and, of course, have a cake in a flavor she likes and give her a piece to dig into with her hands and face (you simply MUST have a photo of the "first birthday cake mess" or you will be considered a negligent parent later on)!
3. If you must go with a theme, make it colorful and full of fun objects for her to see.
4. Above all, try not to make it too complicated. Keep it simple and spend time enjoying your daughter's babyhood. Believe me, they grow up way too fast!
