What's the name of a 60's Christmas country song about a poor dad whose little girl wants a purple ribbon?

My dad wants to show me this song, because it's one of his favorites that used to always make him cry, but he can't remember the name of it or who sang it. All he knows is he used to hear it when he was even a kid (so it was probably popular in the 60's), and it's about a dad trying to find a purple ribbon for his little girl. But he's really poor, and he can't find one anywhere. Then he sadly goes into his sleeping daughter's room on Christmas Eve to tell her he couldn't get her the ribbon, and the room is filled with purple ribbons.

Does anyone know anything about this song?

Bedroom makeover please help me i really need help!?

i really what a bedroom makeover and i have a purple room. Im getting a little old for purple but i cant repaint my room. can someone please tell me how i can make it better so its not so little girlish. please help me i really dnt want to have a little girl room. also what else can i put in it to make it more...i dont know...fun

You can update your room and leave it purple, you need all your accessories to be changed. You need to figure out what you have to work with, find a color like cream or hot pink or a complimentary blue.
You need 3 items of one color to make it a comp color, and the larger the objects the bigger the statement. Now figure out what you can get in these colors, bedding, pillows, curtains, find boxes and cover them with fabric or wallpaper, you can pick up small pieces of fabric and cut shapes out of them to make flowers or whatever and dress up drapes, pillows, anything really.You can go to the library and in the decorating section find some bedrooms for your age group and you should be able to use some of their ideas. Try and take everything out of your room, and start fresh, take your time and you'll have that great room. Have fun and good luck.

I had a dream I was reading a story to a little girl I never seen before!!!?

We were sitting on a bed in a room I never seen before. (I'm assuming this was the little girl's room) I just remember the walls were purple and there were a few barbies on the bed and some other girly toys. I was reading my favorite childhood book Spot! (that yellow dog with the brown spot!!) lol and I was all excited to share it with her, and she was smiling the whole time!! And then at the end she crinkled her nose and was all "I don't like it" I felt deeply saddened and woke up. So what do you think this means???

Maybe this is a vison of some kind this could one day happen she could b ur kid somday or it could be metaphoric, take the dream apart put it into parts and compare it to your life i hope this helps if u rmemeber anything else write it down before you forget

How can I make my bedroom look less little-girl-ish?

I'm going on 17, and a few years back I wanted to paint my room purple w/ really light purple trim, and my brother suggested lime green. at the time i was like ooh yeh that funky i like it. So we did that, and got a comforter w/ green & purple & yellow & blue & pink in it, and it has flowers and hearts and polka dots and stuff. (the other side is pink with blue polka dots).
The curtains have the same print as the comforter.
I can't repaint my room and I can't buy a new comforter. How can I make my room look less like a 12 year old girl's room and more my age?

If you can't repaint...hang up posters lol or get an artistic friend to paint a funky mural! Good luck!
