Is pink over-rated for newborn baby girls?

is it just me or does everything in the store appear to be pink for newborn baby girls...... i want to give her a different color like yellow or purple.

any other cute girl colors for her room and clothes and other items except pink. or do you think pink should be the color.

I love thinking outside of girl pink and boy blue, I went with a yellow for my daughter, with black and white damask prints, some pops of pink it is very chic. I think purple would be lovely there are a lot of great ideas on hgtv's rate my space baby nurseries that think outside the 'traditional colors'

U could print like a million pics of u and ur friends and paint some old frames and put them in there and hang them up to make ur room more personalized and btw pictures are really good conversation starters;)

Good bedroom color scheme for two girls?

My sister and I are redesigning our room.
I am thirteen and I want a red/black/white/purple room.
She is eleven and wants a blue/green/pink room.
We can't both make up some colors we would like and that would last till we're both maybe in high school. We would like something fun and mature looking.
