Room DIY ideas for teenage girl?
I'm redoing my room and I have to pay for the new decor in my room so I was hoping that there were some things that me and my dad could make together that would look awesome in my room, but not cost a fortune. Thanks :)

A fresh coat of paint does wonders.
Go to the thrift store & look for things. Keep in mind that natural fabrics such as cotton can be dyed for a whole different look & furniture can be painted. Craigslist is also a good resource. I am not above taking things off the curb on trash night, either. (I have some great shelves that were made from a broken wooden lounge chair!)
Mini blinds are fairly cheap but compare prices as they vary a lot at different stores. Blinds look homier with curtains, a valance or a scarf partially covering them. You can do a lot with an old pair of sheers or a freshly dyed thrift store sheet. You can even hang a sheet with pretty shower curtain hooks. The nice thing is there's no real "rules" about window coverings.
Throw rugs can add a whole lot of personality to a room.
Plain lamps with yucky shades are really cheap at thrift shops. Google some ideas for decorating the shades.

Ideas on teenage girl's bedroom decor?
I want to change the decoration because the colour at the moment sucks. I'm not really girly and my favourite colour is blue, but my most favourite shade of blue is aqua. Also, I want it to be a kind of two tone of colours, like two walls a darker colour than the other two walls to change the contrast as it gets really dark and it looks depressing in my room at times. I'm also into rock music and I share a room with my twin, we both have the same interests yet she wants a red and black room... Haha.
Sorry this is a long question, I want an idea of what my room should be like. ^_^ Opinions would be amazing! Thanks! :)

You could combine the two like have red blacks and blue... OR you literally could split the room she can have her colours and you could have like an aqua blue with deep blue curtains and other furniture... With rock symbols on the wall... My room is White with golds and creams (I'm 16) because I'm into music too I have canvas's of music notes my fab musicals etc....
