Whats a good theme for a 13 year old girls room?
I'm moving into a new house and I want my room to be perfect. what type of furniture should I buy? And wat theme? Just give me your opinion plz oh and what colors should I paint the walls give me as much detail as possible. thank you
admin answers:
Well, you could always go with a color theme. Purple and lime green look REALLY good together. You could get a big fuzzy purple chair, like the disc shaped kinds, and get some of those door curtain things that hang down like strings that would match and stuff like that.

Good room themes for a teen girl?
I like light green and aqua blue for colors and i like any room.

I absolutely ADORE green and blue together... Especially light green and aqua! A good way to anchor it down is with brown accents here and there... You don't have to over do it with the dark brown; just a little will do.
But yes, it's a very good color scheme for a teenager's room... Other color schemes that work are blue and brown, pink and brown, blue and silver, black and white with a super bright accent color (like red or magenta or deep purple, ect), you get the picture.
As for themes, most teenagers that i've seen on here like bold patterns as opposed to 'themes.' Your best bet is to find a comforter or bed set that you absolutely love and work around that.
Hope I helped!

Need theme for toddler girls room, needs to be interactive and grow with her...?
My daughter will be 1 and a half at christmas time. I would like at that time to redo her room because at this point she will most likely be ready to convert her crib to toddler bed and such. Right now her walls are light yellow on top ivory trim and chair rails, and sage green wainscoting on the lower half. I want to leave the wainscoting there and the chair rail. Her carpet is also sand colored burber, but that can be changed. I think I want to do a bamboo wood flooring with a large area rug. So my question is what theme should I choose? I dont want something generic and charectory. She hasnt ever seem TV and dosnt know who any of the cartoons are, so that isnt even an option. I want something fun and girly, but not froo froo over the top. I want it to be liveable and to grow with her until 5-6. Also I would like it to be a functional theme to sort of play off of/with. All that needs to stay in the room is her convertible crib/toddler bed, a bookshelf, and her dresser/change table.
I have a rocker that is sage microsuede. But that can be placed in storage if needed. All of the wood is cherry as well. I would like some ideas for colors, and would also like to include a mural. So ideas for that too please. Do you think I should do wood with a large area rug set to the theme, or a colored carpet? Please no Dora, barbie, type suggestions.
I did have one idea I really like but am not sure what colors or how to execute...like maybe a salon/beauty shop theme. But then what would I pick for like beading and linnens as well as colors and decor. I am thinking I want something a little more whimsical and siry looking then that though.

I think the salon theme is a good idea and you could use a lot of different color pinks and black!!
Some other themes include
~A Garden Theme: with light pinks, greens, yellows and some purple and you could even paint some flowers along the walls and maybe paint shutters against the windows to make it look like she's looking into a window
~A Tropical Room: lively colors would make it really pretty, some turquoise and bright pink!!
~I always wanted to do Princess for my daughter someday and make a cute little princess canopy in the corner to put a little shelf and chair for maybe a quiet time or something with a little lamp.
Another idea i really like is to take some wood and paint it or finnish it and make a cute little stage in the corner because little girls love to perform and that could be encorporated into the garden theme because it could be the little patio or something... Actually it could be incorporated into any theme. Have fun. Hope i helped. Let me know what you decide!
