Little Girl Room Ideas

Photobucket

Lizzie asks…

Can you help me with some creative ideas to decorate a little girl's room in a I DREAM OF GENIE theme??

Thank you in advance.

admin answers:

You should paint the walls like a deep pink, purple or orange,
and then do (or have someone) paint a genie bottle on one of the walls,
and hang fake jewels and little mirrors all over the walls.

Then add a cute retro conforter,
door beads,
and scarfy drape-thingies for the windows. (check somewhere like bed bath and beyond...)

and of course these:

it'll be an awesome room that she could enjoy even when she's older.
Man, i want my room like this.
Hahaha.

Good luck! =]

Any ideas on how to turn my daughters princess room into a baby boy/little girl room?

Well we were planning on selling our townhouse before having our second child, but with the housing market, doesn't look like that's happening anytime soon!

We have two master bedrooms so my daughter is quite spoiled to her own space, but i think she will be a wonderful big sister and love to share her giant room with the new baby...yeah right!

Anywho, i need ideas of how to make the room suitable for my little girl who will turning three when the new baby boy is born. I don't think pink princesses with tiaras are fair for the new baby :)

We obviously can't have anything too masculine or too feminine. I am an anti-pooh, anti-character type of mom when it comes to decorating and I would say I'm very modern/contemporary.

Any ideas would be fantastic!!!

You could make the color theme brown, blue, and pink. Have half of the walls brown with pink polka dots and half of the walls brown with blue stripes. It would look cute and be suitable for a boy and girl to share. Have your daughter's furniture by the pink and brown walls and your son's furniture by the blue and brown walls.

You could do a jungle theme. Incorporate pinks, blue, yellows, greens, oranges, and browns or tans. Maybe have somebody come in and paint a mural on the wall if you can. Otherwise, hang a lot of pictures up. Paint the walls with circles and stripes.

An underwater theme could be fun. Again, a mural would be nice. Otherwise, hang lots of fish and underwater pictures and decorations. You could have pink and purple fish and orange and green fish.

A barnyard theme would be cute. Use a mural or pictures.

What about a mid evil type theme. Pain a castle on the wall or build one from wood or buy a cloth one and make it like a princess and prince room.

Nursery ideas for a little girl?

Anyone have a suggestion for a little girls room? I dont wanna go overboard with the pink and frilly!! Any ideas?

admin answers:

I like the Hello Kitty idea, but you could also do soemthing that she won't grow out of for a long time, like flowers, butterflies, and/or rainbows. Congratulations on your baby girl!

Cute ideas for Little Girls room?

Were moving into our first house (YAY) and Im trying to gather ideas for my little girls' room (2yr old and 6mo old). Here are some ideas I had to help you understand my style:
-Gray walls, pink curtains and accents with a black vinyl wall decal chandeleir above crib
-Lavender walls with pastel mint green accents
-I love the vinyl wall decals from Target (ex. "shh..baby dreaming")

PS - Their furniture (bed, crib, dresser and chest) is white from Ashley Furniture.

Any ideas??? Thanks =)

My 2 year old daughter's room is hot pink, light pink, black and white. We love it...she has the Madison bedding. Http://www.beyond-bedding.com/discount-boutique-pink-and-black-toddler-girls-kids-bedding-set.html So I personally like the gray walls idea.
