So what you defiantly should have the room split down the middle kinda at the point where the wall colors are the same but on your sisters side put some dora on her side an stick with some funky teen thongs that you like on your side that way you can happily share that room.
So on one side the room looks like this:

and the other looks like this:

Robert asks…
wall mural for girls room....?
My sister wants to paint a mural on her daughters wall, (she's 7) and has decided she wants a 'fairy' theme with really big blades of grass and such so it makes her feel really small, like a fairy. Little fairies on the wall, a toadstool etc. Does anyone know of any good sites with pictures on them? I've been looking all over google etc. for reference pics for her to go by, but nothing! Any references from you guys? Good sites?
Thanks in advance.
Wow!! Tons of good stuff so far. Thanks so much!! The pics are really wonderful! I'm emailing them to her now. Unfortunately she lives way up north in a tiny little town and doesn't have a book store to look through, so she'll have to rely on the web.
Thanks again all. Everyone was very helpful. She's tackling the project next week! I'm keeping my fingers crossed. LOL

Looking for poems about mermaids to frame in my girls bedroom!?
I've just recently painted my girls bedroom and put a picture border of mermaids up in their room. I'd love to get my hands on a nice cute poem about mermaids that i can type up and frame to put up on their walls. If anyone knows of any nice lil girly poems about mermaids, i'd be for ever grateful. Cheers from kylie.

You sound like a terrific mother.
I don't know of any mermaid poems that are particularly famous, but 'Mermaid Poems' by Clare Bevan is available on Amazon. If you're any good at poetry, consider writing your own! It'll be a real keepsake either way.
Edit: A framed cover of Hans Christian Andersen's 'The Little Mermaid' would look great on their walls too. :)

How do I make my room look more grown-up?
I am a 13 year old girl. Currently, my room looks sort of childish and not really appropriate for a teenager. It bugs me when I go to friend's houses and their rooms are so perfect! I need simple and cheap ways to redo my room. My parents are willing to help, and I already got a new bed, bedspread, and they are letting me paint my walls. I am also hanging new pictures. But I need a little bit more to "spice it up", as my dad says. Any tips are appreciated!
admin answers:
Choose paint that is really nice and modern but still feminine, like purple or teal, maybe have a bright feature wall. Get new curtains too, something that brings the room together, and lamps and light shades etc should all match and also represent your taste and what you imagine your room to look like.
You need a cd player/radio and some cool space for hanging out if you have the room, maybe a bean bag or a cool retro chair. Put away all your stuffed toys and dolls, except maybe a favourite. Try some pretty stars or something like that as string lighting and put them around your walls.
Good luck and have fun :)
