Little Girl Room Ideas Purple

Photobucket

Laura asks…

So, I'm a thirteen year old girl who's redecorating my bedroom for my 14 b-day. My room is pretty big. Ideas?!?

My furniture is going to be white. My mom and I plan to have a little sitting-room type area in one part of my room. My walls are light purple; we prefer not to paint them but might. I like whimsical bedding (go to visionbedding.com to see, but I'm not buying from there cuz it's too expensive), chaise/ lounge chairs, beanbags, and just fun chairs in general. Also, light colors like blue with brown, somewhat modern but NOT modern bedding, and shabby-chic. Sorry, I'm a little picky! ;) Websites are good, but also your own opinions, tips, ideas, or anything helps. Please help me out! Thanks so much.

Target and Ikea are your best bets. I remember they had a shabby-chic line at Target., and they always have cute stuff. Ikea sometimes has very cute floral-y bedding and curtains, as well as some of the best inexpensive furniture ever. Notice I don't use the word cheap. Cheap condones that it is of bad quality. It isn't. Pottery Barn Teen is pretty good, they are almost always having some kind of sale, so check those out. UrbanOutfitters tends to have cool bedding as well, check the Apartment section. I used to have a larger bedroom with a little lounge area, library area, and office area. You can take a sheer curtain to separate them, if you wish. I would advise getting the Pottery Barn teen catalogue(it's free!) for ideas, and maybe if you want to buy their stuff.

Need room ideas please!?

Okay so my goal is to make "the most tackiest room" ever. lol. like I mean crazy tacky. I had ideas like since my room is purple and white and a little pink, Im going to buy purple christmas lights and put around the primeter of my room at the top the place that meets teh ceiling and the wall. I have a 3ft mountain dew on my wall, and some other things but its not much. I had other ideas like a gummy bear lamp and a traffic light and some glow in teh dark stuff. Btw I'm a 17 year old girl. I need ideas to make it crazy tacky/weird as possible ^^ so if anyone can think of things for my room like on my wall can be anything. But not more than $100 worth, also my room is very small. Also if you could think of things on my ceiling would be great :) Also I love to draw, but I'm not amazing to the point i could paint on the walls so I was thinking of buying a white board to the floor up to my shoulders or so. :) Thanks!

If you're on a budget, a good place to check would be thrift stores (Arc and Goodwill come to mind) and garage sales. Just browse around and I'm sure you'll find lots of strange/tacky things for your room. Good luck!

Teen room ideas??? Please help?

Okay I just got my income tax back and want to redo my little sisters room this weekend while shes at a youth retreat with our youth group. Her favorite color is purple and black. Shes a member of some new group in town that our Older brother started. And she loves Wolves and Vampires. I don't really want to put any posters up on her wall because shes not into Twilight or those kinds of books. Her friends call her a Psychic Vampire because she is usually happy (even when sad) after hanging with a group of happy people. They also say even though going into classes she seems drained she comes out of them full of energy. She has a book called How to be a Vampire by Amy Gray and her style and other stuff change with her mood. Any ideas shes not an easy girl to read like my Older sisters and I.

Wallpaper on one wall behind the bed - black with silver swirls ( not too much black though ) or silver with black swirls
The other 3 walls with a purple paint ( not too dark not too lilac )
A bed canopy with black velvet material and with silver tassels or silver rope edging

you don't have to put posters up but you could put a big canvas picture up somewhere and the bed could have purple bedding with lots of cushions on. Silver ones and black fluffy ones and purple velvet ones.

And if you really got money to spare, a set of mirror drawers, vampires can't see their reflection and wolves would find them pretty interesting to see themselves with.

And don't forget the blackout blinds so no sunlight can get in.

And a beautiful fluffy purple rug the wolves can relax on.

She obviously borrows the energy she needs off other people because she is in need of a nice but gothicy teen room .

Hope this helps

Room Re-Do ideas please!?

i am getting my room painted and i am also buying curtains, a new bedspread, and some new pictures for the walls. but i dont really want a dark room i want it to be light. i have a few ideas:

tropical themed. all the comforters online for tropical i dont really like. i was thinking like all white with a giant palm tree in the middle or whatever. links please! so i need help finding one. because i am matching my paint to the comforter i buy.

black and white. i love black and white. i want to paint my walls white and trim black but im not sure how the white walls would be because i am 12 and i like to hand stuff up and i just dont want scratches or marks to show up well. would white walls be weird? maybe i could add some color to it like turqouise, lime green, or purple. ideas please!!

other ideas please for a 12 year old girl. i want very relaxed laid back sort of things. LINKS PLEASE!! PICTURES PLEASE!!!

oh i also like lime green and pink but i think it might get a little old for me in a few years and i cant find any bed spreads i like to go with it

i am also aloud to do chalkboard cork or white board or magnetic paint on 1 or two walls.

THANKS SO MUCH

For black and white: You could do stripes or black on the bottom, gray in the middle, and white on top.
For tropical: i wouldn't do it.
You could do lime green and gray on your walls.
You could do green and white polka dots over a gray background on one wall.
