Second Part:
“What do you mean about father?” She said losing her excitement. “He’s in this home! Right here!”
“I know that he will always be in your heart Amanda.”
Amanda was very confused now. What did she mean about her father being in her heart? Amanda walked with a blank face out the side door. She began to cry again. This time her father was missing! She went to the backyard and sat on the purple lawn. She looked up at the teal clouds and wished that her father would be back.
“Why are you crying?” A young voice asked
Amanda sat up quickly and saw a little girl in front of her with the biggest bluest eyes in the whole world. She looked at the toddler aged looking girl and felt calm.
“My dad is gone” Amanda replied to the girl.
“Where did he go?” The girl asked.
“He went to a special place.” She answered again.
“Like the place my mommy said my fishy went? She asked.
“Yes, exactly that place.” She answered.
“I cried when my fishy died too. It made me feel sad” The toddler girl said.
Amanda spoke to the girl for a while and found out that her name was Matilda. They talked and talked until they could see the green sun setting.
“Matilda!” A voice came from down the street.
“That’s my mommy. I think it is dinner time.” Matilda said.
“Thank you for talking to me. I feel so much better” Amanda said to Matilda.
“You’re welcome; I don’t talk to very much people in Kindergarten though.” She said sadly.
“Remember you can always talk to me Matilda!” Amanda replied.
“Bye Manda!” Matilda said as she ran across the street towards the South.
Amanda never thought that she met such a sweet girl in her life. It was getting late and her face was still wet. She walked towards the shed and looked at the mirror. She could see her reflection and also a translucent vision of the other side of the mirror. She walked into the mirror and came out the other side.
It was the same time but every color was back to normal. As she walked to the house she saw a young toddler aged looking boy running across the street towards the North. She walked inside the house through the side door, past the kitchen and dining room and into the hallway where her room and bed were waiting for her. She laid down in her bed and quickly fell asleep.
She dreamt about her father all night, she dreamt about her mother and their new house. She dreamt about the mirror and about Matilda and cried all night thinking about how hard her life felt to her.
Chapter 3
Amanda woke up again to a delicious smell, this time it wasn’t bagels, it was raspberry toast with chocolate milk. She dressed herself into a t-shirt and jeans and walked out through the hallway to find her father in the dining room. She sat down and began eating.
“Thanks Dad.” She said
“I just thought I would cook up some stuff we always used to eat when we were still young.” He replied.
“Speak for yourself.” Amanda giggled.
“Hahaha! You still have your old man’s sense of humor!” He exclaimed.
Amanda smiled and walked into the kitchen to wash her plate. She stared out the window and into the shed. She could see the corner of the mirror. Suddenly the doorbell rang.
“Amanda! There’s someone here to see you!” Amanda’s father yelled.
“I’m coming!” She hollered back.
She ran through the dining room and into the family room. And saw the boy she saw the evening before.
“Hi Amanda!” the boy said happily.
Amanda looked puzzled and didn’t remember telling the boy her name. She noticed that he looked a lot like Matilda on the other side of the mirror.
“Oh! You must be Matilda’s brother! She said.
“Matilda? Who’s that?” He questioned
“You don’t have a sister named Matilda?” She asked.
“No, we talked last night remember? We talked about your mommy and my hamster!” He said.
“Who are you again?” Amanda Asked.
“My name is Matthew, but just call me Matt!” He said energetically
Amanda noticed that he had the same eyes as Matilda she had seen the day prior. And they shade of blonde hair was exactly the same.
“Oh, Matt, that’s right.” She said very puzzled
She wondered what was going on in her head and what happened the time she was gone inside the mirror.
“Do you want to talk some more in the backyard?” He asked.
“You know what Matt? I need to do some stuff but we can talk later.” She replied.
“Okay, see you Manda!” He said as he walked down the porch steps and ran across the street towards the North.
Amanda closed the door and walked through the dining room to the kitchen. She walked out the side door and ran back to the shed to see what was happening on the other side of the mirror. As she walked into the mirror, she could feel a breeze and drops of water on her face. When she found herself in the shed again, she saw through the door that is was raining
I now have a title, it's called
Mirror of Premonition.
She isn't waking up from a dream! She is going through a mirror to a world, totally opposite of hers. She isn't sleeping in the other world and waking up in the normal one.
Everyone else i ask can see it perfectly in their head!
I know there is error, this is just a main idea or rough draft.

Is it suppose to be a short story?
You're really not putting enough info. I didn't want to read it because the beginning was bad. You can put a prologue of how her mom died but it will be like a dream. Then in the chapter 1, she would wake up because it was only a dream and already happened. "They wanted to start a new beginning. A new beginning somewhere new....."
Explain more about the character and the setting. I don't see the story in my head.
Thomas asks…
i think i heard a ghost last night :( (kinda long).?
i was in bed and the computer was on my desk i closed the lid and then even though it was closed in the corner of my eye i saw the screen with something grey on it a few minutes later i heard this heavy breathing noise it really freaked me out i think we do have a ghost in the house because i had a dream of this Victorian girl who was wearing Victorian boots and this dress with pink and white stripes and an apron. she was floating on top of the bath and in my dream i was looking in the mirror and she was behind me!!!. and its not just me my 2 brothers and my sister have experienced
something strange. like when Alex (my brother) and Paige (my sister) were both in separate rooms and did not talk to each other but in the morning they both told mom that they had heard some noisy boots on the floor that night and i told my mom about the dream and she said Victorian boots would make a loud noise on floorboards. And there was the time where my other brother Keir said he saw a
woman with a child and in a different room a man and woman. The scariest thing that has ever happened to me was the time where i camped out downstairs and in my dream i was sitting up and this blue, yes Blue toddler boy floating through the hallway!! this freaked the life out of me!.
and just by curiosity i tracked down who and what houses were here in Victorian times
to my surprise Mary ann came up on 15 argent street which would be where i live now
i have done loads of research and i even searched old newspapers but i can`t find out how she died i used to keep having this flashback of her on a swing and some old man looking at her through the window i know about people dieing in a cruel bad way makes them unhappy ghosts and not long after the flashbacks stopped i had a dream about me cleaning the glass dinner table and a face that looked like the one in my flashbacks appearing on the table!!. I do not know what is going on any websites or information would be great ty for reading this,

The veil between here and the other side is thinning more and more every day. So we will be hearing more stories such as yours. I don't think the spirit is going to do any harm to you it is just residing there with you so you will have to find a way to coincide. But what ticks me off is that people on here are giving advice about things that they are not qualified to do so and is making things worse for people.
Sandy asks…
I feel like I'm the only one grieving for her.?
I guess you could call me a care giver, i work with young adults who are medically fragile. Let's call her Sara. Sara was 25 years old, she died last week of pneumonia, she had developmental problems from a young age, (Rett Syndrome) so she looked like she was 12, and she had the mind set of a toddler, also didn't have the ability to walk talk or eat. (fed through tubes) She was a beautiful little girl, bright blue eyes, adorable smile, and I felt like I had a special bond with her I could always maker her laugh, I was helping to take care of her for the last two years along with other staff members. I seriously loved her like a daughter, i know that sounds a little strange. When she passed away I was devastated, couldn't stop crying.
But it seems like everyone else at work doesn't care...they carry on as if nothing has changed, they just gathered up all of her things and set them in her room for her mom and family to pick up this weekend. (She lived in a house with three other medically fragile adults)...
I feel like I'm not allowed to grieve for her...like it would be unprofessional or something, but i feel like i'm dying on the inside, like a piece of my heart was torn out and i don't know how to deal with it.
Any advice?

Your can and should grieve and they should understand at work they really can't be that heartless maybe you can talk to her family and share with them how much you loved her..
David asks…
What should I do about this girl?
I had a friend named Les, who had a sister named Dani. Les was really fun (and short- 4 inches below normal), and Dani was really nice. Dani was extremely hot, and got along well with Les at least. I was mainly friends with Les and didn't try to go after Dani- another friend, Quin, had dibs- he wanted her first. I sat back, had another girlfriend, and enjoyed life. Les had a popular thing- he held monthly parties. At his front porch at night, with strobe lights, pretty loud music, and a lot of dancing. These were the times I saw Dani most often. Eventually we went to high school. Then, suddenly, out of the blue, Dani called CPS on her adoptive mother. She said her older adopted sister had stolen lots of money from stores, and that her adoptive mother (Chrystal) had hit her, her young 4-5 YO foster kids, and Les. Les and his mother denied it, but CPS moved Dani into her friend Alex's house, and took the kids away. The older sister ran, since she had several lesser-level things attached to her name (DUI, driving with suspended license, missed court dates, etc). Eventually things cooled slightly. Dani avoided us as much as possible, and most of us began to suspect she was insane. She got her own friends, and moved on. A lot about her changed- she started dressing provocatively, a lot like her best girlfriend Alex, sometimes identically, and acted less reserved and more like a party girl who stopped before it went too far. She eventually faded from thought, and we hung out with Les still. I had one friend who was close to Dani, Katie, and that was it.
Today I went to Katie's 16th birthday party, and had some fun. Me and Katie are close to best friends (she's my best friend out of all girls, and nearly out of all girls and guys together), so there was little thought about there being few guys there. All told there were 26 people. Minus adults, the younger (toddler) and older siblings, that left 8 girls and 5 guys. Minus neighbors and the friend I brought along, there were only 3 actual guy friends there. Dani was there too. Eventually the night came, along with the loud music and dancing. I'm bad at regular, common, popular 'dancing'. I can grind basically, and slow dance/ballroom style dance are my strongest types. I can't dance without a partner (break dance etc) for the life of me. I ended grinding and slow dancing with Dani, who is really pretty good. Eventually we watched a scary movie to end the party (by then I was pretty much the last guy- my friend I'd brought was on the phone w/ his long distance GF for 3 hours...). The lights were off, and I was sandwiched between Katie and Dani. Dani ended up convincing me to give her a foot massage (hurting- she'd been at events like bowling and another party before tonight), and eventually rested against me. We got in a texting conversation to keep quiet (even though it was in the living room) and missed most of it. I ended up getting her number out of the deal, quite a bit of info about what happened, and a bunch of texts that made me wonder if she wanted me.
So I have a hot, nice girl who may want me, but who may jeopardize my friendship w/ Les (declined though it had- massively. long story short, I playfully shoved him from behind at school, he lost balance, and got a few cuts- now his mom hates me), not to mention the others who won't believe she is sane to any extent. And I don't really see her often as is.
What do you think I should do, go with her?
*rolls eyes* Sorry about the length. I just give out a lot of details. Please stop the comments about how long it is. Skim if you need to.
