But I’m open to any suggestions … but im girly girl. I also like the idea of having one wall a different colour than the rest. Anyway any ideas much appreciated. And pictures would be good or if you know any websites with pictures

All different shades of pink 4 the walls, maybe a white one too. Get a massive canvas and let your mates write messages on it.

Or a whole wall turned into a collage of everything u like.

I painted our bathroom ceiling bright green and it looked awsome because its such an airy room it dosent make it look titch.

It would be really cool if u painted your cieling black and painted loads of little stars.

If you go on the Dulux website you can choose a room shape and mess around with the colours to see wat looks good.

Litlle girls love pinks and fluffy things and they love highschool musical or Hannah Montannah and they are happy to have pretty shiny things in their bedrooms.

The trouble is that when they reach the age of 11 or 12 their tastes change and their Idols become more grown up.

Teenage room ideas?????

I'm a 16 year old teenage girl and I'm remodelling my room. I don't want anything to childish but then again girly and fresh looking, sorta vintage. I was thinking the classic Marilyn Monroe picture on my wall with Audrey but I need ideas for furniture and such. If this helps whatsoever, this is what I am looking for: http://a7.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/207934_10150232148165941_705225940_9034273_8330340_n.jpg

You should go to Asian furniture shops, markets or even antique shops and find nice, cheap figurines, tables and stuff
you can go look for some nice rugs and stuff for your room - get colourful, bright ones for that girly look if you like
your doona should be a beige, grey or charcoal colour to go with everything you have in your room
stick posters on the walls and i definitely like the idea of the Marilyn Monroe picture on your wall

you can keep the basics that you already have (bed, desk, shelves etc) but just make them look prettier and more stylish :)

Do a light blue or a light purple wall. Then get black and white decorations, picture frames, pictures, rugs, bed spread, etc. Get vintage-ish posters in black and white, or other colors for a splash of color if you want. It looks really nice and classy. Other color decorations you could get are yellow, a creamish white (the furniture), light pink, hot pink (ooo), and other colors... Lol
that styles a bit light and airy
kinda like this but not so dark purple : http://loricurie.files.wordpress.com/2010/09/img_1776.jpg

If you want, you also choose one of the colors mentioned above but just a little darker, like a darker purple (still lavendar though, not like violet or anything) or even a nice shade of green that looks like the "lime tart" or whatever its called shade http://foundation4.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/green_fan-1024x768.jpg
Make your walls that color, then instead of having an overheard lamp, get a pretty bed-lamp and a floor lamp, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY some cool light fixtures or sparkling star things. These could be like paper lanterns, or maybe even those little christmas lights. Every night, turn on the bedside lamp, the floor, lamp, and the cool light fixtures and it'll create a really chill, laid back, teenagey hang out mood. Also if you can, get a scoop chair or a beenie bag to complete it haha. For this, I actually recommend the "lime tart" color or just a darkish purple like this http://www.art-paints.com/Paints/Ceramic/Donnas-Hues/Opaque-Stain/Periwinkle/Periwinkle.gif It'll be a bit dark but its part of the mood. My friend has it and it looks soo nice. The closest example i could find is Bella Swan's bedroom in twilight. It's a bit dark but it has a chill, relaxed, teenagey feel to it: http://www.google.com/imgres?q=bella+bedroom&um=1&hl=en&safe=off&sa=N&biw=1599&bih=795&tbm=isch&tbnid=dGLYXjLG_IVjfM:&imgrefurl=http://kateb123.wordpress.com/2009/11/30/new-moon/jacob-bella-bedroom/&docid=D2Krpt8m2SijyM&w=2047&h=1434&ei=y6JNTty7GKTo0QGK7pHfBg&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=209&vpy=101&dur=194&hovh=188&hovw=268&tx=159&ty=85&page=1&tbnh=149&tbnw=246&start=0&ndsp=26&ved=1t:429,r:0,s:0 the colors kinda awful but thats up to you bahaha

I just listed the ideas and designs I like alot. You could do a mix of both ideas. However, for the second one, I suggest you have SOME splashes of color. Not alot that its overwhelming but just enough
