Little Girl Rooms Theme

Photobucket

Donna asks…

What room theme would go good for my little girls room?

My daughter will be 2 in May and we are going to make her a big girl room. We are expecting another child in July so we wanted to change her room soon before then new baby comes so she gets use to it. I am wondering what theme would go good for her room. The walls are kind of a yellow green with white trim. Here is a picture of what the green kind of looks like. In the middle of the picture where it is lighter.

First of all congrats on the up coming baby!

Well with this what I would do is something kinda like the walls of this room except green and the tree a brown:

and a room kinda like this (pics of same room but diff. Angles) :

These 2 rooms are good into her late teens, she can accessorize however she wants and not have to re-paint or replace furniture when she wants a change she can just buy new accessories, which is a huge money saver.

Sorry I didn't add as many as I (or you) might have wanted but I'll give you a site with a bunch of room ideas that you can switch between adult, teen and children.

(they get better closer towards the 10-15 but I would suggest staying with in the 20s because from there on there is usually just pics of people's family and friends, but those parts still have good bedroom ideas.

Also try:
ikea.com
they have really good and not too pricey stuff, they also have ideas and some of them are really good.

Don't make it girly because she might grow out of it. Make it kind-of in the middle of tom boy and girly. That way she can change it how she wants.

Hope I helped, have fun redecorating!

Daniel asks…

What are good teenage girl bedroom themes?

Okay well I really want to change my bedroom theme to my room. I am 13 years old and my room is blue and green, I have wood floor and its medium size. Do you guys have any recommendations on how I should change my room theme? And I don't like little girl stuff like I don't really want it all colorful or anything. Im going more for an older look. Pictures would be great! Thank you!

You're smart to want to stay away from super colorful, you'd get bored with it quickly. A more mature look would be really simple and less expensive. Try:

Sandy asks…

is winnie the pooh a good theme for a girl baby room?

i am starting to do my baby room, i have 3 months but i want to start buying things early. i was looking into doing a winnie the pooh theme but was wondering is that considered more of a boy's theme? then i was looking into the disney my little princess theme but that seems to be real popular now but who is to say that would be good for when i have my baby in august. can someone please help me with a theme?

admin answers:

I haven't read the other answers, but thought I'd toss in my thoughts.

Do whatever makes YOU happy.

Your baby isn't going to care in the least little bit if her room is winnie the pooh, princess, aliens, or polkadots, blue or pink or yellow.

Decorating the nursery is all about the parents. If anyone has the gall to say to you, "My, you've chosen a masculine theme for your girl's room," tell them you like winnie. Or blue. Or aliens. It's not going to affect your daughter's development one little bit.
