Is reddish-pink a good wall color for a teenage girls room?

i have a different patterned comforter that has turquoise, purple, green, and reddish-pink. i am moving into my sisters old room. i used to have purple walls but i want something different. please help!

I say, It's only paint. Go for it! Don't like it? Repaint next year! My neice got to pick her own colors about the time she was 13. She picked a bright blue and neon lime green, then patiently painted big checked x's and o's on her walls. She did it herself and i'll say it took a long time. She learned some decorating ideas, and about hard work. No one had to look at it but her, so why not let them choose?

Would white walls get dirty fast in a teenage girls room?

I am re painting my room. It is currently pink but I am now 16 and its too childish. I want to paint my room white because all my furniture is white and my curtains are purple and I have a silk purple bedspread.

It depends on what you plan on doing in your room. Of course if planning on cooking they won't keep clean. But of course it would get a little dusty at times and you will have to dust a few times

Whats a great store for decorating a girls bed room?

The rooms theme is pink and purple and it is a teenagers room. I need advise on how to decorate it and what store i should go to!

Try a "shabby chic" theme using those colors. If you have not already painted the walls, use those as accent colors in pillows, throws, curtains and paint the walls a light lavendar, with white trim to keep it light and airy.

Hit yard sales and flea markets for great deals. Then simply spray paint the pIEces, ie: wicker rocking chair, in white. After dry, lightly sand to give it the aged look. Then pile it high with pillows in pink and purple, maybe even some "funky" purple throw pillows. Use this same technique on mirrors, dressers, etc.

Shabby chic is funky yet feminine, and very easy and inexpensive to achieve.
