Room Design For Teenage Girls Small Rooms

Photobucket

Helen asks…

does anyone have any ideas for a good teenage girls makeover that will not cost alot of money. (Aus dollars)?

any designs will do but it is only a very small room

admin answers:

Paint does wonders. Depending on your style and taste, and since the room is small paint only one wall a bold color. If you have old furniture, spray paint it to your liking. Whatever colors you choose buy throw pillows to throw on your bed to add a decorative touch. For the other walls that you are not painting, get music magazines and hang posters on your wall on an angle. Not too many, maybe two large posters on each wall. For lighting buy string lights and either hang from the ceiling or on the wall for a decorative touch. Have fun!!!!!

Donna asks…

room crisis!!!?

i'm taking an interior design class and i have to answer a question for a "client". a teenage girl has a large, colorful bedroom. one small wall is a hot pink, the small one with a window is a medium blue, a main wall is a rich purple (not pinkish or bluish) and the other main wall is a deep, bright green. all of the walls have a yellow and an orange stripe running horizontally around the room. she loves the room, but wants to tone it down a bit WITHOUT repainting it. i need specifics and i'm out of ideas so....yeah....
PS the family has a $50 budget to work with.

Get a sheer white material and hang it on one of the main walls like a curtain. The color will show through--but it will be lighter. Or you could hang large poster sized black and white art.

How to make a basement bedroom look better for a teenage girl?

I didn't want to share a room with my younger sister anymore so, sometime around October, I moved my whole bedroom into the basement. It is better than sharing a room but the basement still needs a little bit of help. The ceiling is somewhat open- you can see pipes and wires and cords which I have been strictly instructed not to touch or hang things on. The walls are made of wood- but not a smooth kind. It's in many needle thin strips. There are nail heads and areas to hang things all over. The floor is a green and white tile that is falling apart. I have a small bed, a large desk, a tall dresser, a plastic crate/ nightstand, a small TV on a thin stand, dozens of posters which I have not put up, a bowel chair, and a full sized refrigerator. I want it to look neater and more feminine but it's very difficult with the way the room is designed. I plan on getting a carpet for my birthday but nothing is set in stone. Any suggestions?
Yes, I do have an EGRESS window. There is more than one escape route in case of fire.

admin answers:

Question. Does this basement room have whats called an EGRESS window? In case of fire you will need an escape route. This is serious business. A 15 year old boy in my city could not escape the home after a fire started and he died. Move back in with your sister until this problem is corrected. I want you to grow up, have a career and family, and perhaps children of your own someday. Our country needs good people like you.

David asks…

How to re-design my bedroom?

I'm a teenage girl, turning 14 next week and for my birthday I want to get furniture for my room. Nothing too expensive... but I want to make my room less cluttered. My room is quite small because I have a slightly bigger bed than single (king single) and a BIG free standing wood wardrobe that takes up room. I have some pictures of my room to show you how much room I have:

(my desk is in a sliding wardrobe with a tv on the left side.)

So as you can see, my room has clutter.. but I clean it every week.. so what do you guys suggest? I'm not allowed to paint my room or do any structure work to it.
I was thinking a cupcake bedding. Since my room has brown and pink in it.

Unfortunately, pictures didn't load.

Choose the bright color that you like - red, pink or light green, etc

And then change the interior that you can: bedding, curtains, rug, the tv cover, etc

The room will look gorgeous!:)
