Little Girl Rooms Theme

Lisa asks…

Color Schemes for a little girl & boy's room?

I am going to paint the walls. For a little girl I've been thinking of lavender & white or pink & green(apple green). And for a boy a sky blue & white. I don't want to a character theme because they are going to outgrow it quickly. Can you suggest some more colors I can possibly use?

admin answers:

I love the idea of pink and green. For our daughter we had dark brown and pink. For paint the dark brown was on the bottom- so if she did happen to color on the wall and it couldn't come off no one could see it lol. Now that we have moved its Tinkerbell colors kinda. Lavender and green. You can do a boarder if you wish- sticker boarders are easy to apply and easy to take off. For her room it cost us about 30 bucks for the boarder and when she wants something new the colors are hip enough that it wont be a huge problem.

Robert asks…

decorating princess theme room?

OK this is going to sound a little odd at first but we are decorating our baby girls room in princess theme, well i was watching desperate house wives of atl the other day and there was a little girl who had a sheer sheet or something of some sort hanging on her wall, over her bed to make it look like her bed was the princess castle! it was an actual sheet not like a canopy. i have been looking everywhere to know how to make this..help please & give pictures if you know what im talking about

admin answers:

Well what you could do is put the crib or bassinet against the wall and put up hardware for window treatments and buy a sheer color of two panels and get tie backs to pull the to the sides if that's what you're talking about

if not and you are talking about the hanging canopy thing you could really find that in any accessory or bedding area of a store

those are some ideass that i'm getting from your question

hmm maybe you could find hooks to put on the ceiling to hold up the fabric

hmm i'm not to sure what you're talking about

but, good luck and congrats on the baby girl!

Laura asks…

When you were a little kid did you have a "theme" bedroom?

For example when I went to this little girl's place, she had a Bratz room. Lol every merchandise was Bratz.

So how about you?

admin answers:

I had a coastal theme
I had ocean blue waves, aqua green wall with lighthouse wallpaper along the crown molding.
I also had little sailboat wall decor near the light switch.

James asks…

Baby boy nursey theme?

Ok my husband and I are expecting our 4th baby but our 1st boy. Ok for our twins girls we used butterflys. They are 2 now. For 13 month old girl. We used Rainbows. Now we are putting all the girls together in the masterbed room. And us in the twins room(2nd biggest). And then baby Dakota in the little girls room. So I need a baby boy theme something orginal and simple. Plus what age can the girls be put in toddler beds. All three are still in cribs.

admin answers:

Jungle Themes are always cute or your favorite children's cartoon like Sesame Street. My sister put her kids in toddler beds at 3 my little girl will also go in a toddler bed at 3.
