Need ideas and paint color's for girl's room 7 years old she's tired of tinkerbell? Any good websites?

She's outgrowing her Tinkerbell room and were looking for colors and ideas for a different room that is smaller but her room now is too cold. I have checked HTV.com website and a couple of other websites but some want you to join for ideas I just want free stuff I already owe enough to different websites. Thanks Robin S

If I had to choose it would be very PurpIey, Drapes hanging from the ceiling, sheer surrounding the bed. Kind of like a Moroccan Purple palace. Try to pick a wall color or colors that she will grow with.
I would keep the room simple. Stay away from characters and themes.Pick out her favorite colors and paint the walls. Then you can choose some items that you know she adores and decorate the room around them. Pick out pretty things that have longevity. You can also provide her with some ways to organize or display some of those items that you have chosen, such as shelving units. You may want to purchase a mattress that she will have until she has graduate from HS or College. (Full size bed) By making simple changes, you can give her a big change while leaving her some freedom to continue the decorations to her liking as well! Good luck!

Play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to help you imagine how the colors will look together. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

I think "toasted pine nut" (# 7696) might look sharp.

You can take a photo of your house & upload it to the makeover gallery on this website:
http://www.roomvues.com/
You can get color suggestions & for $5 they'll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look like.

You should try a psychological way of finding our what colours you would want to paint your room best. Why not try thinking of colours and see which one comes to your mind first and you could paint the ceiling with that colour first? Then go on to thinking of another colour that comes to your mind for the walls and such... Or you should try to find colours that fit moods... If you think you are more of a happy person everyday, bright colours should fit. But if you are more of a person that confines yourself, dark colours might suit. But be careful when choosing colours, make sure they can contrast each other... And give the feeling that you want to feel everyday when you go to your room.
