How long before toddler and baby can play in newly painted room?
My girls are 3 yrs old and 9 months old. We just had our living room painted and new carpet installed. The painting was done yesterday and I've had all doors/windows and fans going all day. The carpet was installed today. How long should I wait before letting my girls play in that room? It was latex paint that was used and while it obviously still smells like paint, I think it's faded pretty good, or I've just gotten used to it. Any suggestions?

I'm no doctor, by any means, but I would not hesitate to bring the children in. I wouldn't think twice about it after 24 hours. Be sure the carpet can be walked on within its first 24 hours though. Call your carpet installer to be certain. The paint, however, will be fine. I have always let my little man in as soon as the paint is dry and we can no longer smell the fumes. To know whether or not you are just "used to it" leave for a while and come back.
In the future, the paint-pouri that wal mart sells (it is a liquid fragrance you pour into paint to make it smell good) works great. My two year old actually helped me paint when we used this.

Decorating a shared room for a boy and girl (toddler and baby) Any help?
I am trying to decorate a room for a 2 year old boy and a 10 month old girl. I already have a pink and purple polka dot themed bedding for the girls crib. I really don't want to purchase another set of crib bedding but I'm willing to purchase new bedding for my toddler boy. What color should I paint the walls? The room is not big enough to separate with a divider so doing separate things isn't really an option. I just don't know what goes with pink and purple polka dots lol Thanks all!

Decorating your children's room means so much more to you than it does to them. So, of course you want it to look nice.
I have decorated many children's rooms and would not normally suggest this, but in your case, I would paint the room the color of Hellmans Mayonnaise. Then accessorize with the children's things. This way the room is very gender neutral and anything you put in there will not clash with the walls. Kids have a lot of colorful things, so there will never be a lack of color in that room.
I always think there is enough space to divide any area. There are ceiling drapery tracks that can hold a curtain to divide the room with a sheet or fabric or a wide curtain. These drapery tracks are like what you see in hospitals to divide the room for privacy. They stack tight up against the wall when not in use and maybe would work in this instance. Think about that.
I shared a room with my sister my whole life and we came up with a lot of creative room arrangements, including putting a long dresser between our beds!!!

When can I start letting them?
Hi,
Right now I have a twin set of girls age 2 and a 2 month old baby girl. In the girls room I have 3 cribs and there is not much room for the baby stuff so we where going to move their room to the playroom How long till they can sleep in big girl beds because my husband wants to move them in there when they start to sleep in toddler beds. I thought that we could let them pick the color of paint and their beds. stuff like that. What do yall think
admin answers:
My oldest started sleeping in a twin sized bed when he was 2. My middle child started when he was 18 months, but in a toddler bed. The only reason he is in a toddler bed is because someone gave it to us for free. Otherwise, we would have just used a twin. I think toddler beds are a waste of money. But back to your question...they can be put in beds now.

So i was asking if anyone knows any good wall paper murals for boys and girls?
One room is for the babies, and were doing a raggedy Ann theme for it.
The nest one is for Toddlers, i was thinking Noah's ark theme maybe? any other suggestions?
And then there's the kids nursery. There like 6-9
