What colour should I paint my room?

I am nearly 14 and I'm not too much of a girly girl or a tomboy.. I am getting my room painted after YEARS of wallpaper and I really don't know what colour to paint it. I don't really like pale colours (I hate yellow and lilac) and I'm not allowed to have it too dark. I was considering darkish purple but I am not too sure:/ Could anyone recommend any colours please?

Take a look at a color wheel. You can have a light color and an accent color so you and your parents are satisfied. Purples are good for relaxation. I would go with a purple. The darker you go the more light you will need in the room. You could even have one wall the dark color you want and have the other walls a lighter version. Be inspired. What things make you happy? Paint a color of your favorite flower or cd cover. You may even get a darker color (if that is what you want) by making your parents feel included :)

i want to paint my room to who i am. right now my room is a light purple which i grown tired of. i'm more of a "punk-rocker" girl. and my favorite colors are black, dark purple, red, white, gray and blue. i was thinking of painting my room dark purple and ALL the borders black. but i also want to 'explore' more with colors. can you please describe how else should i paint it. (i would prefer pics) thank you very much (:

A combination of orange,light and dark brown and white wou be great! Use your imagination to make patterns out of these colors. They match up perfectly!

what color should i paint my room?

i want to redo my bed room... right now i have purple walls and a purple bed spread. well i want to change it up and look like a teenagers room because right now it looks like a little girls room. well, what i want was a black and white vintage head board. and a different comforter. but i was wondering what colors i could paint the walls that would go with the black headboard. i thought red pillows would really pop but i wouldn't paint my walls red. and ofcourse black would be tooo dark and leaving them white would be boring. soo what colors would go?

im a girl. my room has cheetah bedding and cheetah border. i was thinking hot pink. well. i could take off the border and i have 2 sets of beddings i switch every week. .1 is cheetah as i said. 2. is white and has like a greenish blue and lime green and purple flowers. the pillow case is light blue w. 1 big flower of those colors . i need help quickk

I think a hot pink would look fab! Check out a color called "gala pink" (# 6579).
