Room Themes For Adults

Photobucket

Mary asks…

Interior design ROOM THEME?

i'm doing a school assignment and designing an apartment.

what are some ideas for a unique 'theme' aimed for either young adults at uni or working?

I want to do something different... not like minimilistic modern or any of that.

It could be based on an artist or a piece of art, or fashion... anything.

thanks for your help:)

Why not work around Gustav Klimt and his period and works?
A fabulous source of "end of 19th century, beginning of 20th art.

I want my bedroom to have a musical theme. Ideas?

I don't want band posters or cute little notes painted on the walls. I am looking for a classical music theme. I want the room to look adult and not like an elementary music room. I have no idea where to begin. My limit cash. I can probably do new bed covers, paint, and possibly a new dresser and entertainment center. I have darkwood frame around the windows and door. Good wall space.

Go to your local thrift stores and buy old albums you like the colors of and find some old musical instroments and print some pictures of dancers off the internet .Buy some frames and put your albums and prints into them and hang them on your walls and hang the instroments on the walls. And just add things as you get them.Good Luck!

Theme for a kids' camp dorm room?

I'm helping out with a camp for...let's just say kids with very hard lives in July. As counselors, we get to decorate the dorm (it's on the college campus and the dorms are small --tiny-- renovated apartments) however we want for the kids.
I have a few ideas, but I still have to talk to my roommate (the other counselor -- there's two kids and two adults to a room).
Does anyone have any ideas of some good themes?-- and some ideas of things we could do with the themes?

Thanks in advance!

Wild west: put cactuses and red bandanas around and maybe a poster of John Wayne?

Underwater: fish, seaweed, you could drape some blue netting around.

Hippies: tie-dye, peace signs, a Beatles poster?

Rainforest: big flowers, a potted tree, a toy parrot?

Laura asks…

What do you think of these Communion party favors?

I am helping out with a communion party at a fine steakhouse (Fleming's) and have decked out the kids room in sports theme with personalized name embroidered duffle bags with a basketball... however we are keeping the adult room more elegant to keep with the restaurants ambiance... So I am giving the two items below on each place setting (mints and chocolates)... do you think this is enough or should I add a rosary to each and put them in a mini gift bag???

In the past I find receiving a rosary becomes redundant and just ends up in the back of some drawer. Thanks for the help.

I think you should put them in a gift bag.

If you can afford it, you could get 'em all mini-bibles to add, too.
