How do i make a pink room not girlie?

Hey, i am such a tom boy! My mother surprised me by painting my room pink and green, but I can't repaint it or change my pink silk sheets. I hate the girlie-girl look. What should i do?

Black against pink, especially lacquered or shiny black takes the girlie out of it. If too much "punch" can use dark brown earth tones. You can do it with picture frames of framed photos if can't add enough. One black wall is a potential, but that is something to think about before doing it.

Remove any white frills. If you just want it to look older woman rather than girlie, you can add red in deep tones with bright white and small amount of black.

Does pink mess with the mind? Do you or anyone you know have a room that sort of pink? (Just wanna let you know i'm a punk/emo girl, not super preppy or anything hehe)

Green & pink paint for baby girl's room?

I'm about to paint the room that will be our newborn daughter's bedroom and would like to go with green and pink. Her furniture is an antique white color, and will be with her for many years. I don't want to have to paint the room again in a few years time, so I'd like the colors to be soft and muted. Has anyone (preferably in Australia so the shade names are relevant) used any particular shades they are happy with - particularly if they're Dulux or Taubmans brands.

Good colours, i have green and pink in my room. 2 of my walls are pink and the Other 2 are green. I have like a light green and a dark pink. Im sorry i don't know the exact names of the colour, but im looking at a Wattyl colour chart and the colours in my room look close to Marsh rose (pink) and frosted mint or glacial green. I would suggest going to a paint store and picking up a colour chart book. There are so many shades of pink and green

My grandmother bought a pair of pink and green pajamas ... She called them her spaghetti eating pajamas, but I loved them. My grandmother is long gone, but every time I see anything pink and green together ... And that seems to be a very popular combination this summer ... I think of her. Paint your room the colors you like ... It's not the color but the 'decor' that makes your room sophisticated, childish, whatever. Use white frames for your pictures, and have a white framed bulletin board with pink background and green ribbons. Have white shelves with pink and green boxes or baskets to hold your clutter, with only three items out at any one time, and your room will look very sophisticated, and be very organized.
