zebra rug for baby room?
my friend is pregnant with her first baby and wants a faux zebra rug for the baby's room. she would like brown stripes instead of black. she would also like the rug to be shaped like a zebra skin, not just square. i have tried ebay and other decors sites, but haven't found anything cheaper than $300.
btw, i'm a sociology student conducting an anonymous study on relationships at http://geocities.com/sbiv37.... i'd love your input

Sounds like it would go really well with a Jungle Book theme. Check store that carry international stuff like World Market.
E-bay Express Key words: Zebra, Shape: not specified, Style: Children's, Juvenile. Prices from $30.00 on up.

simple and easy ideas for decorating baby room?
i would like to get simple and easy ideas to decorate my baby boy's room,he's 8 months.i have a powder blu colour baby bed and a blur rug.walls are in light cream and powder blue. it would be great if the ideas are low cost and creative

I love an aquatic theme, and it works well with your blue. You can make fun sea critters for the wall like simple fish, crab, and starfish silhouettes.
Check out ikea's children's stuff right now. They have really cute stuffed animals like an octupus and a shark that are infant safe. They have other cool things like a seahouse light fixture($15), fish-shaped rugs ($5), and a surfboard rug ($13). Rather low priced and really cute. Plus it's a great theme to build on as he get older--something a teddy bear theme has trouble with for a little boy.

baby's room decoration, what kind of rug is ok?
my baby girl is 16 months old . she makes mess in her room. i have hardfloor, was wondering what kind of rug would be ok as she makes a mess. and can u plz suggest me other things to buy for her room to make it beautiful and nice at reasonable price thanx

You might want to avoid the rug as 1) it will collect dust mites more and if your baby has allergies, this will affect breathing 2) if there are spills (as babies are wont to do) they are harder to clean up and might stain your rug.
If you really want a rug for the room, maybe a commercial rug. It is not too plush and comfy, but because of this, maintenence might be a lil easier and it shouldn't collect AS MUCH dust as other, more plush rugs would.
Maybe also you might want to see about an area rug for the babies play area. These can be easily taken outside and dusted out, washed and what have you.

I'm wanting some pics of baby room/nursery with a neutral coloured theme.?
I don't like all of these really bright, loud and over the top baby rooms/nursery's. I want to keep my cream walls and curtains and just add bits of one or two colours by pics in frames, bedding, toys, rugs etc. Does anyone know of a book or website that has what i'm looking for?

You could add splashes of color with pillows, fabric on baskets, or ribbons tied around the curtain rings.
You could also use colored matting behind pictures of you, your hubby, and grandparents as babies or children. My hubby and I did this in our daughter's nursery, and it tickled our family members pink, and looks adorable!
