My favorite colors are pink and purple. I have a comforter that is white and has different colored stars on it. Donna asks…

Paint color combination ideas?

im going to be painting my room eventually. i was thinking a bright pink and light blue. but now im starting to change my mind. i love the color pink. im probably gonna do every other wall the same color. so like it would pink wall, blue wall, pink wall, blue wall. and then im probably gonna splatter paint it. i cant really decide what to do. any color ideas ?. or any ideas for what the design should be ?. oh yeahh one of the colors has to be some kind of pink !. not a veryy light pink though. a bright pink :). oh and btw this is for a 15 year old girl.

Pink and blue walls does not sound pretty to me.

Keep in mind that darker colors make your room look smaller.

Splatter paint is very, very difficult to remove. Even if you keep this room for 10 years, when your parents eventually sell it would be a serious negative for the house.

Paint should be the background for your bedding and accessories, not the focal point.

I don't often like different colored walls, but since you seem set on it, here is my suggestion:
Deep Carnation/Sweet Taffy with Alabaster Doors and Trim
this would work really well with this bedding: http://www.pbteen.com/products/heart-to-heart-duvet-cover-and-pillowcase/?pkey=cgirls-bedding-all

Another idea is:
Yellow Lotus/Bubble Bath walls with Lemon Chiffon Trim/doors and this bedding http://www.pbteen.com/products/big-dot-quilt-and-sham/?pkey=cgirls-bedding-all

One more idea:
Rasperry Mousse/Light Chiffon Pink with Pure white doors/trim and this bedding http://www2.jcpenney.com/jcp/X6E.aspx?DeptID=67787&CatID=68155&GrpTyp=ENS&ItemID=1632dfe&attrtype=&attrvalue=&CMID=searchresults%7c67999&Fltr=&Srt=&QL=F&IND=10&cmVirtualCat=&CmCatId=searchresults|67999|68155

If you can give up the idea of two colored walls, this bedding http://www.target.com/DwellStudio-Target-Butterflies-Bedding-Collection/dp/B001SICMEK/ref=sr_1_18?ie=UTF8&frombrowse=0&searchView=grid5&node=3151061&keywords=dwell&field_browse=3151061&searchSize=30&id=DwellStudio%20Target%20Butterflies%20Bedding%20Collection&field_availability=-2&searchBinNameList=subjectbin%2Ctarget_com_age%2Ctarget_com_gender-bin%2Ctarget_com_character-bin%2Cprice%2Ctarget_com_primary_color-bin%2Ctarget_com_size-bin%2Ctarget_com_brand-bin&refinementHistory=subjectbin%2Ctarget_com_age%2Ctarget_com_gender-bin%2Ctarget_com_character-bin%2Cprice%2Ctarget_com_primary_color-bin%2Ctarget_com_size-bin%2Ctarget_com_brand-bin&searchNodeID=3151061&field_launch-date=-1y&searchRank=target104545&field_subjectbin=1041482&searchPage=2&field_keywords=dwell
would look great with light blue walls (Benjamin Moore Blue Angel for the walls, Snow white for the trim/doors) You could then add loads of pink accessories.

I used Benjamin Moore's color visualizer and bedroom 12 (Dynamic Decor) since it has two wall colors. Lizzie asks…

I need ideas on what color to paint a boy/girl shared bedroom?

I'm expecting my 3rd child in a couple of months and my 5 yr old son and 3 yr old daughter are going to be sharing a bedroom. I need ideas on what paint colors might work for the room. The room is not very big and I want them to be able to keep their current bedding since they both like them so much. My son's bedding is sports themed- primarily dark blue with basketballs, footballs, and soccer balls on it. My daughter's bedding is light pink with flowers on it- oranges, light blues, dark pinks, yellow and lime green. In other words, my son's current bedding/decorations are more primary colors, and my daughter's are more pastel/girly colors. I realize these aren't ideal for matching with a paint color, but I'd like them to be able to keep the things that they individually like in the room. Any ideas?h

admin answers:

I would probably use light blue and grammarian colour as it has to do with both of the child's' interests
