You might consider a neutral color, with one wall (or a portion of it) as a chalkboard wall. This will allow for limitless creativity.

What are your CHEAP room redo ideas for a teenage girl's room?
My brother just moved out and I'm taking over his room. I need mirror ideas, color schemes, themes, cheap artsy makeovers of single items. Any ideas welcome, just go for it. I considered Twillight theme, but it's way too costly for my budget.

They can be made very glamorous, and don't have to look like a 70s love nest. You can also get cheap sheer fabric and make a mosquito net for your bed.

color or colors is NOT a theme and im a colorful girl.Im a Kiki Cannibal sorta girl.Look up pics of her and you'll understand what im saying.Im into the scene and scene queen stuff.

I would have liked a beach theme at that age I would paint the top of the walls like flowing water and the bottom like sand with seashells and star fish and some palm trees I would hang a hammock in the corner for reading or homework.and I would make a table out of an old surf board.
