Baby Room Furniture

Mary asks…

White and Light Blue walls in baby room. Do you think white & natural wood furniture would look good together?

The crib will be white and natural wood color and the dresser might be natural/light wood color. Will it go good with light blue and white walls? The bedding is all different color blues and white.

It'll look adorable. But don't forget accent color (soft yellow would work so well. Maybe a small white lamp with a yellow shade? Yellow stars?) also texture, blue jean material for curtains would be adorable!

Paul asks…

Pregnant ladies-what are your favorite websites to look for baby furniture, clothes, etc..?

This is my 1st pregnancy and at times I just feel like browsing through websites to see baby things, but can't really find a website that gets my attention. For example I want to see pictures of a babies room with all the furniture to start getting ideas. What websites do you recommend that I can see everything?

admin answers:

Omg.... I so totally asked that same question like yesterday. This is my first pregnancy too! So over the last 24 hours i have found some uesfull websites:

www.ababy.com

www.time4bed.com

www.netkidswear.com

www.armsreach.com

www.mothercare.com (this one also has some interesting parenting advice for new parents)

www.cheekaboo.com

www.bellydancebaby.com

www.pinkandblue.com

www.babycity.co.uk

www.babymallonline.com

Okay, there are LOTS! And if you google it there will be LOTS MORE! LOL so, i have kinda gone baby stuff crazy! But totally understand how you feel! And the great thing about looking all of this is that you will have more of a clear idea of what you want for your baby and plan for it well in advance so you dont end up buying the wrong or unnecessry things. Since looking this stuff up, i have more of an idea about buying a cradle or a bassinet (didnt know of the thing till i looked it up lol) and also what type of crib i.e a convertable one that can be changed into a toddler bed - which would be an investment. Also you have to think not only about this first baby but the others that you might with to have in the future too when it comes to furniture and things like that.

Congratulations, i wish you a happy and healthy pregnancy and all the best for your bundle of joy!

James asks…

Registering for a baby shower, whats okay to register for?

I'm throwing a baby shower for a friend. I asked her to go online and register for some gifts.

We're young (I'm 21, she is 23) and this is the first babyshower in our circle of friends.

What kind of things is it okay to register for. Baby-room furniture should be bought by mom and dad right? Like the crib and changing table? Those are pretty big things.

Is it okay to register for semi-big things like a stroller/high-chair/car seat?? Or are those aslo too big?

admin answers:

Tell her to register for what she wants. A registry isn't telling people that's what they HAVE to get for you, just an idea. Also, many people will go in together on bigger items. It won't hurt to put the crib, etc. On the registry. If she doesn't get it at the shower then she will just have to buy it. If she doesn't register for something then she doesn't have the chance of getting it as a gift. Also, at Babies R Us and Target they will give you 10% off whatever you registered for but didn't get when the baby is born.
